Welcome!

Greetings, and welcome to Zoo City Newz Blog! This blog is not an official news reporting entity, nor is it affiliated with any such business or organization. I simply enjoy the goings on of my home town of Missoula, Montana – affectionately known as “Zoo City”, hence the name of my blog. I’ll be posting about my own observations; general goings on around Missoula and outlying areas – official or otherwise. My aim is to post interesting, funny, odd, or unique posts and photos, which may be about people, animals, or just interesting or funny things I see. I’ll also be posting information of events that are of interest to me (and hopefully you). Visit us often!

Play It Missoula!

Sponsored by numerous businesses and individuals in and around Missoula, Play it Missoula has placed six pianos throughout Missoula for community building, downtown place making, and for gathering people randomly on the street, whether to play together or listen.  You don't have to be a professional musician to tickle the ivories - they are for everyone to try out their musical talents!

Piano Locations:
Starving Artist Cafe -- 3020 S. Reserve St.(indoor piano)

Outdoor Pianos
Bank Street Pocket Park -- 120 S. Higgins Ave.
DDC Beauty -- 121 W. Main St.
Hip Strip -- 718S. Higgins Ave.
North Higgins "The Fox" -- 430 N. Higgins Ave.
The Broadway Inn Bar & Grill -- 1609 W. Broadway

It is my understanding that the "outdoor" pianos are taken in during the winter months, but as of this posting I'm not sure if they're still playable, or if they're put in storage until warmer weather.
